lifecell mobile operator has announced its financial and operational results for year 2021 and Q421. The company demonstrated persistent financial indicators progress and stated 24.1% revenue growth and 30.9% EBITDA growth on a year basis. lifecell three-month active subscribers base reached 9.2 million.
REVENUE: In 2021 lifecell’s revenue increased by 24.1% YoY up to UAH 8,482.7 million against UAH 6,835.8 million in 2020. In Q421 the operator’s revenue increased by 25.7% YoY up to UAH 2,406.4 million (UAH 1,913.8 million in Q420). The revenue growth was driven by subscriber base growth and increased data services usage.
EBITDA & EBITDA MARGIN: EBITDA increased by 30.9% YoY to UAH 4,751.2 million (UAH 3,630.9 million
in 2020). In Q421, EBITDA increased by 26.5% YoY to UAH 1,319.1 million (UAH 1,042.9 million in 2020). At the same time EBITDA margin in 2021 increased by 2.9 pp to 56.0% against 53.1% in 2020. Meanwhile, in Q421, this indicator increased by 0.3 pp to 54.8% (54.5% in Q420).
CAPITAL EXPENDITURES: CAPEX increased by 3.2% to UAH 3,593.6 million against UAH 3,482.4 million
in 2020. In Q421 lifecell decreased this indicator by 14.6% YoY to UAH 1,319.3 million (UAH 1,545.7 million in Q420).
NET INCOME / (LOSS): lifecell recorded net income of UAH 610.9 million in 2021 against net income of
UAH 2,588.7 million in 2020. In 2020 lifecell has recognized its accumulated losses as deferred tax asset, so registered a deferred tax gain of UAH 2,581.7 million in Q420. And it also positively impacted net income in 2020.
