Today Ukraine is celebrating Saint Nicholas’ Day.
Our congratulations for everybody; let all dreams come true!!!
In Ukraine, children wait for St. Nicholas to come and to put a present under their pillows provided that the children were good during the year. Children who behaved badly may expect to find a twig or a piece of coal under their pillows.)))
According to ancient Ukrainian tradition, older owners of village met together for cooking wheat beer. Arranged a feast, after this, everybody went by sleigh around the village with fun and songs. Children received a special cookie – Mykolaychyky.
