TUSIB participated in the conference “Developing SMEs – Building the Future”
October 10-11, 2017 in Kyiv, the final conference of the USAID “Leadership in Economic Governance” Conference « Developing SMEs – building the future» was held.
Once again, the conference has become a platform for government, business, expert community and civil society representatives to discuss ways to enhance the role of SMEs in the economy.
Director of the USAID Mission in Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova Suzan Kosinski Fritz noted the role of Small and Medium-sized businesses in the economic development of the United States of America during opening the conference. Therefore, it is important to continue the reforms and promote the development of the SMEs in Ukraine.
During the conference four plenary sessions were held, within the framework of which the annual business climate assessment “Business Climate and SME Development: What Business Expects”, the regulatory field for business, the results of the USAID-LEV Program in priority areas for the development of SMEs were presented. The participants of the conference had an opportunity to listen and discuss with the experts of the USAID LEV Program, representatives of the local authorities of pilot regions, deputies and representatives of the Ukrainian government, leaders of regional partner organizations whose tasks are to unite and support Small and Medium-sized Businesses in the field.
