Turkey is a partner and ready to support the implementation of Public-Private Partnership projects in Ukraine
July 11-12, 2017 Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Nadiya Kaznachaeva took part in the meeting of the Ukrainian-Turkish working group on cooperation in the field of Public-Private Partnership. The Ukrainian delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Mikhailo Titarchuk, the Turkish delegation by the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Turkish Republic Fatih Metin.
The experience of colleagues is amazing: Turkey is the leader among the Eastern Europe and Central Asia countries for the implementation of PPP projects, the total value of which is about USD 140 billion.
“The project for the construction of a new Istanbul airport is an example for us in the preparation, evaluation and implementation of Public-Private Partnership: the project is carried out by a private consortium IGA and after completion of all four phases of construction, the airport will have a capacity of 200 million passengers, and will become the World’s largest airport , that was built from scratch, “- said Nadezhda Kaznacheeva.
On July 12, the sides signed a protocol. Turkey will conduct trainings for Ukrainian specialists, including PPP development in infrastructure, and will consider the possibility of providing technical assistance to Ukraine with preparation a feasibility study for the further transfer of the ferry crossing in the Black Sea port to concession.
