Ukraine and Turkey have agreed on the liberalization of freight

October 03-04, 2018 in Ankara, a meeting of the Ukrainian-Turkish Mixed Commission on international road transport was held.

These negotiations are the new level of cooperation between the two countries in the field of international road transport.

The most important achievement is the agreement on an without permits system for the implementation of bilateral and transit freight traffic between Ukraine and Turkey.

The parties agreed to develop the corresponding draft Protocol on amending the existing bilateral agreement by the end of October 2018, and also make every effort to sign in 2019.

Ukrainian side will additionally receive the following number of permits in 2018:

– 1000 bilateral;

– 1000 for empty entry of vehicles;

– 500 to / from third countries.

The parties agreed on a preliminary quota of permits for international road freight transport for 2019:

– 7000 bilateral;

– 4000 transit;

– 10 000 transit U;

– 2500 to / from third countries;

– 5000 for empty entry vehicles.
