Union of Industrialists and Businessmen of Turkey and Ukraine “TUSIB” hosted the first networking meeting of the series. The event was held at the Academy of DTEK in Kiev.
The event was attended by businessmen from numerous sectors of the economy. Heads of corporations and international companies operating in Ukraine also attended the business community meeting, including telecommunications, construction, textile, banking, household goods, hotel business, IT, transport and finance.
TUSIB President Mete Karaer began with introductory statement: “Here we create the right place for establishing new contacts and expanding our partnership relations, and we invite the highest level experts of various directions of economic activity in Ukraine.” Mr.Karaer continued his speech, giving information about the relations between Ukraine and Turkey and the situation in the Ukrainian economy.
Mr.Karaer highlighted that the main goal of the meeting is not only the discussion of sectoral issues, but be closer each other, and give a possibility to all Turkish businessmen working in Ukraine meet together, as well as businessmen from Turkey and Ukraine. Such meetings will be held on an ongoing basis.
Mr. Karaer thanked all participants and invited the Chairman of Credit Europe Bank, Onur Anniamamer, who spoke about the situation in the Ukrainian economy, assessing market risks and opportunities as a professional banker.
Onur Anlatamer, considering possible scenarios that the Ukrainian economy can expect in the coming years, believes that Ukraine will be among the countries that foreign investors can invest in, adhering to certain conditions.
Mr. Anliatamer also talked about the banking system development in Ukraine, a large number of reforms implementation in the banking sector and the economy in general, as well as the possible consequences of future elections.
Onur Anlatamer, having answered all questions of the guests, thanked TUSIB and all the participants.
Then the meeting continued in a warm and friendly dialogue between businessmen.
Agenda for the following TUSIB networking meetings is planned: telecommunications and construction sector, business environment of blockchain, investment opportunities in Ukraine, foreign directives, customs and tax legislation and competition laws.
