Inflation accelerated in April in Ukraine

In April 2019, Ukrainian Inflation in annual terms accelerated from an 8.6% month earlier to 8.8% as compared with April 2018. Finance.ua informs

According to the website of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, consumer prices rose 1.0% month-on-month in April, up slightly from a 0.9% increase in March.

Compared to December 2018, consumer prices grew by 3.4% in April.

According to the State Statistics Service, the highest annual growth was recorded by vegetables (47.1%), rail passenger transport (28.9%), road passenger transport (24.6%), sewage services (24.2%), natural gas (22.9%)

Decrease in prices was recorded by eggs (25.3%), fruits (22.5%), sugar (5.3%), fuel and oils (0.2%).

The State Statistics Committee reminded that the data are given without the occupied Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as the occupied territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
