Turkish and Ukrainian Entrepreneurs and Businessmen on the information meeting 81 TUSIB organized information meeting for entrepreneurs and businessmen in Kyiv. The meeting was also attenden by Ambassador of Turkish Republic in Ukraine Yönet Can Tezel, Director of EBRD in Ukraine Şevki Acuner, former head of Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency of Turkish republic and currently finance advisor of the Ukrainian government Engin Akçakoca, Chief of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Ertuğrul Apakan. Trade advisor Belkıs Gürsel Güleç and Chief of Turkish Ukraine Business Council of DEIK Ruşen Çetin also attended the meeting which was focused on the current economic and political situation in Ukraine.   82 There were the Turkish entrepreneurs who invested in Ukraine and professionals who work at international companies.   ‘Cautious optimism’ Ambassador of Turkish Republic in Ukraine Yönet Can Tezel in his speech said that current development of situation in Ukraine can be called as cautious optimism. He underlined his belief that Ukraine step by step will overcome this crisis and Turkish investments in Ukraine are important for both countries.   83 We believe in Ukraine’ The next speaker Chief of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Ertuğrul Apakan said that OSCE exert much effort to solve the situation. Currently the number of OSCE employees in Ukraine exceeded one thousand. He expressed his confidence to Ukraine with the next words: “Ukraine will proceed implementation of the western values. We fully believe in Ukraine”. ‘The situation is not easy, but we will survive this crisis’ Chief of Turkish Ukraine Business Council of DEIK Ruşen Çetin ın hıs speech evaluated the relatıons between Turkey and Ukraine in perspective of investments. “Despite the difficult times we are passing out of the crisis and I’m sure we will survive it” – he said. ‘The effects of the IMF loan will be seen over time’ Of course the participants had a lot of questions about economic and financial situation in the country. To answer them former head of Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency of Turkish republic and currently finance advisor of the Ukrainian government Engin Akçakoca was invited. He evaluated the decision of IMF on the loan and its he possible effects of the financial market. “The people of Ukraine will find its own way out of the crisis with the support of the Turkish business world and the whole world.”, – he said.
