KHERSON (QHA) – Turkish Airlines’s aircraft began to operate regular flights on the route Istanbul – Kherson, southern Ukrainian city, close to Crimea, with frequency 4 times per week.
Opening of the new route comes as Turkish Airlines had suspended its work in Crimea, following region’s annexation by Russia in March.
The official opening ceremony of scheduled flights of Turkish Airlines from Istanbul to Kherson took place at “Kherson” airport. The press-conference was held with the participation of Chairman of the Kherson Regional State Administration Andriy Putilov, H.E. Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Ukraine Yonet Can Tezel, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer of Turkish Airlines, Ziya Taşkent.
“Ukraine is currently one of the priority markets for Turkish Airlines. Kherson and other southern regions of Ukraine have great potential and the flights to contribute to unleashing that potential. We introduced our flights to İstanbul to Kherson at special discounted fares, which makes our high standards of service even more affordable for all customers in Ukraine”- Chief Marketing and Sales of Turkish Airlines, Ziya Taşkent said.
